Before he joined Zillow, Schwartz was the vice president of sales at CNNMoney, as well as holding various board of director positions.
Schwartz began at Zillow in 2007 as the vice president of sales, then moved up to chief revenue officer and chief business officer before becoming the president of media and marketplace in 2018.
“I have no doubt that Zillow 2.0 (as we call our reinvention), will underwrite more mortgages, buy and sell more houses and drive more rental leases than any company,” Schwartz added. “Zillow will achieve this scale of business while giving consumers a more on-demand, transparent and seamless real estate journey.”

As Schwartz steps down, a shuffle of executives will take over the void.
President of Zillow Jeremy Wacksman will take over Premier Agent and Rentals.
Arik Prawer, president of Zillow’s Homes Division, will be taking over Zillow Home Loans and other mortgage marketplaces in an effort to integrate home financing into Zillow Offers operations.
Rian Furey, who joined Zillow Group in September as president of Zillow Home Loans and senior vice president of Zillow Mortgages, will report to Prawer.
Errol Samuelson, Zillow Group chief industry development officer, will take over Zillow’s New Construction business and Display Advertising. Lucy Wohltman, vice president of New Construction and Display Advertising, will report to Samuelson.
In a release, the company said that all of the moves will help the company build a “bundled, Zillow-branded transaction,” further evidence that the company wants to be a one-stop-shop for all things housing sooner rather than later.
